Vocabulary- How does the author use vocabulary to get your attention?

    The author got my attention whith the word "PLOOPY"

    The author used bold words that made things stand out.He also used lots of funny words that keep you laughing and wanting more.

    The author got my attention when Manny said "ploopy" to Greg on page 103.

    The author gets my attention with vocabulary when he uses bold words or unfamiliar words. Some of these words are ploopy, and squeal.

    When the reader throws out funny words that makes me want to read on and it gets my attention. It also makes me think, WOW this author can throw his humor out there and still make his story sound SPECTACULAR.

    The author got my attention the most when he used the word ploopy. This is because i've never seen this word before and it made me curious.
